Morning
Pleasant View mornings can start at Straw Market Cafe, on Pleasant View Drive, which pairs its food and pastries with a boutique. The cafe says its west wall is a boutique supplied by unique and crafty vendors. Then head uphill to the Pleasant View Trailhead, at the top of Pole Patch Drive, on Bonneville Shoreline Trail #339. The Forest Service lists it last on the trail, south to north. It opens the trail to hikers, horseback riders and mountain bikers. Pioneers called a stand of trees at the foot of Mount Ben Lomond the Pole Patch, the city's history says.
Afternoon
Pleasant View's Barker Park sits beside City Hall on Elberta Drive, and its bowery can be reserved from May through September. Wadman Nature Park, near 385 West 4300 North, and Shady Lane Park, near 600 West 3000 North, have reservable boweries too. Pleasant View Park, on Pleasant View Drive, keeps its bowery first-come, first-served. The city runs ten pickleball courts, east and west. No single court can be booked before 10 a.m., so mornings are open play.
Evening
Pleasant View's 2026 calendar put Food Truck Giddy-Up evenings at Barker Park on five Mondays from June through September. The same calendar put free Movies in the Park at dusk at Pleasant View Park on May 29 and June 26. U.S. 89 crosses the city on a diagonal, and UTA buses stop on U.S. 89 at 2700 North. Interstate 15 runs through the west side. For FrontRunner, City Hall is 7.4 road miles from Ogden's Wall Avenue station.
Seasons
The city's Annual Events page put its 2026 Founders Day on June 27, for the city's 175th anniversary. Its schedule listed a parade, a 5K, a car show, and volleyball and pickleball tournaments. The city's Old Pleasant View Driving Tour map covers nine historic locations, including a log cabin school. John C. Fremont stopped at the hot springs here in September 1843, the city says. The name Pleasant View became official in 1882, and the city incorporated on August 27, 1945.
