The park also has a riding arena, a zip line, pickleball and basketball courts, and a walking and biking path. Small pavilions sit around the pond, and the city lists zip line rules, including one rider at a time. City parks open half an hour before sunrise and close half an hour after sunset. Shoes or similar footwear are required, the city adds.

Farr West's Civic Center, at 1896 North 1800 West, puts City Hall, the Farr West Recreation Center and Civic Center Park on one site. The rec center sells memberships to residents and non-residents, and lists pickleball open play and basketball court rentals. Bella's Fresh Mexican Grill, on 1850 West, says it opened its Farr West location in April 2003. It lists dine-in, large groups, take-out and catering among its services. Farr West Park, at 2090 North 2000 West, adds a baseball diamond and a large pavilion.
Evening
Mountain View Park, at 1500 North 1700 West, has a large pavilion, a large grassy area and a walking path. The city's trails page sets out a vision of non-motorized routes linking neighborhoods, for walking, bird watching or horse riding, depending on the corridor. The Willard Canal crosses 2000 West, the General Plan shows, and the city's July 2026 impact fee plan lists a future trail along it. Interstate 15 splits Farr West from north to south, the General Plan says. FrontRunner ends short of town, at Ogden's station, 7.1 road miles from City Hall.
Seasons
Farr West's 2026 calendar listed its Freedom Festival from June 26 to July 4. The lineup included a rodeo under the arena lights at Smith Family Park, a pickleball tournament and a park-to-park ride. On July 4 it listed a 5K, a flag ceremony and a parade at City Hall, then a souvlaki dinner and fireworks. The city calls one piece annual: a softball game its calendar lists as "vs. WCSO & Fire." Park restrooms open from late April through early October, weather permitting, the city says.
